You want to visit the Hague in three days? No worries; you have a lot of things to do here! You can have full three days in the city and you’re going to love every second of it.

Day One

Start your first full day in the city by having a good breakfast and coffee. Explore the museums and shop ’til you drop!

Breakfast & Coffee

On your first day in The Hague, grab some breakfast and coffee at Kaafi. The restaurant is being run by an American guy; so, if you only speak in English, you’ll be fine here. Aside from your coffee, make sure you try some of their pastries as well, because they’re to die for. The breakfast choices here are hearty and you’re going to love the high-quality bread they have here.

Looking for healthier breakfast choices in The Hague? Check out Sam Sam—they have a wide selection of healthy bowls available with various toppings you can choose from.

Visit The Binnenhof

Your stay in The Hague wouldn’t be complete without a visit to Binnenhof. The establishment is the office of the prime minister of the country as well. Who knows? You might encounter a political figure while you’re here.

I highly suggest you check out the Ridderzaal, a gothic-style building, which is where the royal family of The Netherlands hold parties. Oh, and make sure you take some snaps at the fountain, located in the middle of the square.

It may seem like a typical grand fountain for you, but the fountain is pretty significant. The fountain was gifted to celebrate the successful renovation of Binnenhof and the sculpture on it portrays King William II, who was the founder of the historic establishment.

Another thing to see here is the tower, which is the office of the Prime Minister.

Do Some Shopping

Do some shopping on your first day here at the Passage. Aside from the shops, it has a beautiful building passage that is Instagram-worthy!

Side note: De Passage is the Netherlands’ first covered mall, so you get to experience a little bit of its history, too.

For major department stores and designer fashion shops, head on over to the Grote Markstraat

See The Mauritshuis

Do you like golden age paintings? Then you should definitely head to the Mauritshuis. This is where you’ll see the masterpiece of Vermeer, the Girl with a Pearl Earring. They also have several exhibitions here; so, if you’re a fan of the arts, and even if you’re not, you should not miss this.

Have Dinner & Drinks At Plein

Plein or “square” is where you can go to for some dinner and drinks. What’s best about the area is that it is surrounded by notable buildings, such as the Mauritshuis and the Inn of Amsterdam. Who knows? You could even spot a politician drinking with his or her buddies here, too.

Day 2

Consider this the perfect time to head to the beach—the Scheveningen!

Explore The Beach

Although many believe that the best time to explore this area is during the summer because it’s a beach, you can actually enjoy it at any time of the year!

Walk along the pier and partake in some awesome activities. For adrenaline junkies out there, you can enjoy a wide range of exciting activities here, such as bungee jumping, zip lining, and many more. You can also go surfing here!

Here are some of the other things you can do in Scheveningen.

Day 3

Get some downtime before you travel back. Here are some of the things you can do on your last day in The Hague.

Visit The Noordeinde

The center is a popular street that is beautifully decorated with rows of buildings that are designed with Dutch architecture. It is also filled with unique businesses, which will spark the interest of art enthusiasts and creatives. Some shops sell antiques and many more. For foodies, there is a wide selection of restaurants here.

Head on over to the Noordeinde Paleis, which is a unique building where the King of the Netherlands works in for most days of the week.

Here you can spend half or your whole third day here before you leave!
